About this file
This is an attachment detailing basic preventative maintenance procedures for machine shop equipment at TEAD (Tooele Army Depot). The document outlines comprehensive maintenance requirements across multiple systems including hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, air/lubrication, coolant, spindle, automatic pallet charger, automatic tool charger, and auxiliary systems.
The procedures specify detailed inspection and maintenance tasks for each system component, with an emphasis on documentation that must be ISO-controlled and electronically transferred to a database. Key maintenance activities include checking oil levels, pressure readings, and leaks in hydraulic systems; inspecting electrical connections and voltages; verifying machine calibration and alignment; maintaining proper lubrication; cleaning and inspecting coolant systems; servicing tool changers and spindles; and performing regular calibrations. All maintenance data must be documented for TEAD records and future comparison.
