About this file

This is an amendment (0001) to solicitation W519TC25Q2128 issued by Army Contracting Command - Rock Island for a Hi-Rail Tracked Excavator. The amendment modifies one line in the salient characteristics by removing the specific requirement for "1-1/4" diameter connecting holes" from the tow hitch points specification, while maintaining the requirement for drop pin style tow hitch points on each end of the machine to connect rail carts.

The solicitation calls for a rubber tracked excavator with Hi-Rail capability, featuring a Tier 4 Final Diesel Engine with minimum 98 HP, approximately 27' fully extended reach, and various attachments including a tie crane with hydraulic generator and magnet, multi-grapple, mulching head, and power grip bucket. Key requirements include 56.5" track gauge capability, maximum 22 mph Hi-Rail travel speed, and drawbar pull of at least 14,661 lbs for pulling a minimum cart capacity of 40,000 lbs. The equipment is to be delivered and set up at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP) in McAlester, OK, with operator training provided for up to 6 people and two sets of maintenance, operation, and parts manuals included.
