About this file

This document contains questions and answers regarding a solicitation for refuse collection services at Tooele Army Depot. The solicitation requires a contractor to fully manage and perform all operations for the collection and transportation of refuse and single-stream recyclable material from Tooele Army Depot. The recyclable materials include aluminum cans and foil, aseptic packaging, steel and tin cans, plastics numbered 1 through 7, and various paper fibers. The contractor must transport all recyclable material to a recycling collection facility and transport all refuse to the Utah state-approved solid waste disposal facility under contract with Tooele Army Depot. The solicitation requires the contractor be responsible for all licensing, taxes, permits, and transportation costs but the government will be responsible for landfill fees based on actual tonnage disposed. The period of performance is anticipated to start on March 1, 2024.
