W50S9F-21-Q-0001 Solicitation Question/Answer #1

Question #1:

Upon delivery, each assembled unit shall be placed, setup and ready for occupancy in not more than 2 days.

I think that it would be very difficult to complete the installation, install 2 decks, skirt the building, install the canopy and, most importantly, complete the install of the low voltage within (2) 8 hour working days. The IT could take 2 days itself. It is also more likely than not that several buildings could deliver at one time.

Answer #1:

The point of this requirement is that the government would like the units set up in the most expeditious manner possible once on site, with minimum idle time between arrival and occupancy. If the all units arrived in a 2-3 day time period and then it took 10 days to set them all up; that’s fine. It does not have to be one unit 2 days, one unit 2 days, and one unit 2 days etc…

Question #2:

Is there a designated storage area for them on site?

Answer #2:

If the question is pertaining to storage of the office units themselves there is room in the area where the units are being set-up that can serve as a staging/storage area until installation is complete. If the questions is regarding a storage area for equipment there is also room for the contractor to place a storage unit, such as a PODS (Portable On Demand Storage), which the contractor will be responsible for providing.
