About this file
This is a technical drawing and specification document for communications room rack and cable tray layout at the 156th Communications Squadron facility.
The project requires installation of fourteen communications racks arranged in two parallel rows of seven racks each, with a minimum four-foot clear distance maintained between the rows. One vertical cable manager must be installed between each pair of adjacent racks within each row, plus one at both ends of each row. All racks and vertical cable managers shall be securely anchored to the concrete floor using stainless steel anchor/expansion bolts and must be bonded and grounded in accordance with applicable local, state, federal, NEC, and telecommunications grounding standards. A new overhead cable tray must connect the terminus of existing overhead cable trays to the back wall of the room, matching the existing tray in width, depth, material, finish, and installation height. The contractor must field verify all existing conditions, dimensions, clearances, and cable tray elevations prior to installation. All racks shall be installed plumb, level, and aligned within each row, with all required hardware, supports, brackets, fasteners, and accessories provided for complete and secure installation. Required working clearances around communications racks and equipment must be maintained throughout the installation.
