VBDZ212108 Replace Flooring POL

Site Visit Q&A:

1. Q: Is there asbestos present in floor tile and/or mastic?

A: No, both the floor tile and the black mastic beneath were tested and determined to be asbestos free.

2. Q: Does the fume hood have to be removed to install new flooring beneath?

A: No, please install flooring as closely as possible to existing hood.

3. Q: Will furniture be removed from the area?

A: Yes, all furniture will be removed from the area to allow Contractor to work freely in areas mentioned in the Statement of Work. The only exception will be in the FSC Office where access to alarm panels is critical. In the FSC office there may be a need to work around one work station and operator.

4. Q: Will personnel be present?

A: Yes, POL is a controlled area and will always have someone present during work. Minimal personnel will be scheduled during the demolition. Installation will be scheduled for an AWS

Friday during which one Civil Engineering escort will be present.
