W50S8H-24-Q-A088 – Satellite Television Equipment & Annual Service – RFIs – Questions & Answers Q1: Which SAT-TV solution is your team is looking for? DirecTV?

A1: We currently utilize DirecTV, however, as we are requesting a new head-end solution to be quoted, a transition over to another satellite television provider would be acceptable.

Q2: We are currently receiving the DirecTV Entertainment Package with local channels. We will continue to primarily utilize any satellite television solution for overall worldwide situational awareness. Any solution or package quoted that permits access to current news events would be acceptable.

Q3: How many locations or buildings for the install? (Main delivery location 107th Communications Squadron, 2260 Johnson Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14304)

A3: For our distribution, we have one facility where the DTV head end system takes signal from the satellite dish and then our own in-house IT folks send it through media converts via fiber to the remaining 7 facilities. We only need the new head end receivers hooked up to the existing distribution solution we have.

Q4: Are these new services?

A4: Answered above, however, we currently are receiving the DirecTV Entertainment Package with local channels.

Q5: If you have DirecTV services, would you be able to share their associated account numbers so we can do some research?

A5: The Base Contracting Office does not readily have access to our DirecTV account number.

Q6: This is LPTA, correct?

A6: For quote submission, we are soliciting for the cheapest priced offer that can meet the equipment delivery timeline of equipment being in place no later than 31 October 2024 with service beginning 1 November 2024.

Q7: If the DirecTV account numbers are not available, do you have the make / model of the equipment currently in use?

A7: We have the same head end equipment rack from 2016:

· DTV Equipment All DVB-S Satellite equipment and services; DTV MDU-SYS MDU TV Systems: Installation of H.E. and removal of Old H.E. Equipment; Integration: INSTL MGR $137.56, LEAD TECH $130.68 40 Hrs; Balancing Assistance

10 media converters we were given back then:

· DTV Equipment All DVB-S Satellite equipment and services; 1310NM Media Converters installed
