About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for the Range Maintenance solicitation (W50S8D26QA014) issued by the Department of the Army National Guard for an indoor shooting range at Stewart ANGB, Newburgh, NY. The Q&A addresses key clarifications regarding scope, equipment, and pricing for the contract.
The document clarifies that range cleaning is performed in-house by squadron personnel and does not fall under contractor scope. Regarding equipment replacement, the contractor is only responsible for replacing items when they become excessively worn or broken beyond repair; new equipment is not part of the base scope. The government currently possesses two new bullet traps and pre/HEPA filters in inventory. Any equipment or services outside the scope of the Performance Work Statement will be quoted as additional costs. The question submission deadline was COB July 29th. These clarifications establish the baseline scope for quarterly maintenance of the complex's Meggitt target carrier systems, HVAC systems, Lutron lighting controls, AR500 steel panels, ballistic glass, negative pressure building infrastructure, and rear tower computer systems supporting the 12-lane facility.

Questions and Answers for Range Maintenance
1. Q: Is there a cut-off date for questions?
A: Yes COB July 29th.
2. Q: Is the range cleaning performed under another contract?
A: The range is cleaned by our own squadron personnel. There is no lead used in our range so cleaning is handled “in-house”.
3. Q: Is there new equipment for the targetry, trap, or HVAC that need to be replaced in this request or only replaced when equipment is broken and beyond repair?
A: For equipment, we still have two new bullet traps in the Connex. That’s all we currently possess besides some pre and Hepa filters. We only need these items replaced when they’re excessively worn.
4. Please verify new equipment will be quoted as an extra cost.
· Yes, any new equipment outside the scope of the PWS and of this range maintenance contract will be quoted as an extra cost.
