About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) related to a federal contract opportunity for carpeting and installation services at Building 202. The key details are:

The government is seeking to replace the carpeting in 19 rooms, with the existing flooring being rolled carpet on a concrete slab subfloor. There are no incumbent contractors, and no asbestos concerns. Contractors will be responsible for calculations and estimating the total square footage. Personnel security clearances will be required, but no specialty equipment like elevators is needed. The government has specified no noise restrictions or work hour limitations beyond 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. A full spread adhesive method is preferred for the permanent carpet tile installation. Moisture testing of the subfloor will not be required.

The related federal contract opportunity is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the "Bldg. 202 Carpets and Installation" project, which is a total small business set-aside. Award will be made to the lowest priced quote that demonstrates technical capability to meet the requirements of the Statement of Work. Quotes are due by 11:00 AM EST on September 18, 2024.
