About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) response providing answers to 20 questions submitted by potential contractors for the 152 AW Base-wide Fall Protection project (Solicitation W50S8C26QA007) as of April 8, 2026.
The RFI clarifies fall protection requirements across multiple buildings at the installation. Guardrail systems will be Safety Yellow to match existing base installations, with Building 67 requiring guardrails instead of a warning line. The preferred benchmark product is Guardian Fall Protection's Quickset Multi-Directional Baseplate (Part #15178), as installed on Building 56. Building-specific requirements include: Building 9 requiring two 136-foot runs (north and south sides) and hatch surrounds with 42" x 35" dimensions; Building 67 requiring 80-foot runs on the east side; Building 76 needing a self-closing gate with returns on the north ladder; Building 88 requiring standing seam fall protection south of EF-3 with 43" x 36" hatch dimensions; Building 130 with 43" x 37" hatch dimensions; Building 600 with approximately 42" x 36" hatches; Building 700 requiring two hatches (42" x 36") and seven guardrail locations; and Building 800 requiring two corner installations with 40" x 34" hatch dimensions. The RFI excludes Buildings 82, 300, 400-406, 500, and MSAT from the project scope. All mounting bases require rubber pads and roof pads for membrane protection. AT-OPSEC training, conducted on base during the first day of work in a classroom setting, is mandatory and provided at no cost to contractors.
