Question 1. Sec. II.c.i.2 – Mentions Plug and Play with the fixed VTC camera.

1. Is this supposed to be a USB camera or an HDMI camera? We are assuming it’s a USB camera since Sec. II.c.xii.1 mentions ability to work with Microsoft Teams.

2. Should we be planning to route the USB to multiple locations or would the camera be permanently connected to the Room PC/Laptop?

3. Is a BYOD room or if the Room PC/Laptop will be the only UC connection point?

Question 1 Answer:

1. USB Camera for use with laptop and various software.

2. USB will need to be routed from camera to rear desk where we will be able to hook the fixed laptop or a user provided device.

3. Camera will need to be able to be used on either the designated room laptop or a BYOD.

Question 2. Sec. II.c.vi – What is the existing Speaker system?

Question 2 Answer:

1. 6 Speaker (rear center, front center, rear L/R, front L/R) Boston system controlled currently by a Yamaha RX-V630.

2. Speakers are white Boston Acoustic Bravo 6 Ohm speakers.

Question 3. Can we get additional info on this?

1. Not sure if this is asking for an Interactive Pen Display that would be a USB connected device to the Room PC/Laptop to allow annotation for that specific source or if it’s asking for an overarching annotation engine that would allow annotation over ANY source (and would be difficult to manage from an 8” – 12” interface).

Question 3 Answer:

An interactive display that would allow annotation for the room laptop/PC or a user provided device that would be plugged in at the same location as the dedicated room device. USB operation is fine.

Question 4. How many ports are available on the switches?

Question 4 Answer:

The only things that the contractors (or anyone) can connect to the switches are AF procured computers, printers and VOIP phones. Therefore, nothing they bring can be connected to our network switches. That said, there are 48 ports in the room that could be activated, but again, only for one of those three aforementioned items.

Question 5: Are you looking for a QAM tuner in Section II.c.viii?

ANSWER: Yes, it needs to be QAM.

a. Is it carrying signal from a cable box in another location?

ANSWER: Yes

b. Is it carrying signal from a Blu-Ray player?

ANSWER: Yes

c. What level of control is being sought? (Full CH/Vol up/down, power on/off, favorites, etc.)

ANSWER: Ch up/down, vol up/down, power on/off

Question 6: Is the Fixed Camera to be used within the room (i.e., as a confidence monitor) or just for

Teams? This would help to determine the proper specification for the camera and its connections.

ANSWER: Camera needs to be compatible across multiple programs.

Question 7: Are additional cable trays to be installed by contractor or Government if/where needed?

ANSWER: Cable trays may need to be installed by contractor, they will not be installed by the government.
