About this file
This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) Amendment 0002 for Acoustic Wall Panels (RFQ W50S88-25-Q-0118) that corrects previous responses in Amendment 0001. The amendment clarifies three key aspects of the acoustic panel specifications: side wall fixings, room acoustic requirements, and mounting methods. Specifically, the corrections indicate that panels may now be supplied with either magnetic backing or a cleat-style mounting system (such as Z-clips or French cleats) for removable installation on standard drywall. Additionally, the RT (reverberation time) value has been corrected from 0.08 to 0.80, while maintaining the original NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) rating of 0.85. All other terms and conditions of the original RFQ remain unchanged.

Subject: Corrected Q&A Responses – Acoustic Wall Panels
The purpose of this amendment is to correct certain responses provided in Amendment 0001. The corrections below supersede the previously published answers to Questions 1, 3, and 4.
1. Side Wall Fixings Question:
Original Answer (Amendment 0001): Panels must include magnetic backing and compatible wall-side magnetic fixings… Corrected Answer (Amendment 0002): Panels may be supplied with magnetic backing or a cleat-style mounting system (e.g., Z-clips or French cleats) that allows for removable installation on standard drywall or similar surfaces.
3. Room Dimensions / Acoustic Details Question:
Original Answer (Amendment 0001): The spec already outlines the required RT60 reduction… from 2.0 seconds to 0.08 seconds or better.
Corrected Answer (Amendment 0002): The required RT value is 0.80, not 0.08. The NRC rating of 0.85 remains unchanged.
4. Mounting Method Question:
Original Answer (Amendment 0001): Magnetic backing is required as stated in the spec… Z cleats do not meet the stated need… Corrected Answer (Amendment 0002): Panels may use either magnetic backing or a cleat-style mounting system (e.g., Z-clips or French cleats) as acceptable mounting methods.
Note: All other terms and conditions of RFQ W50S88-25-Q-0118 remain unchanged.
