About this file
This addendum pertains to a federal solicitation for repair work on HVAC systems at Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Michigan. The scope of work involves replacing boilers and associated intake and exhaust systems for Hangars 7 and 9. Rather than installing new wall penetrations as originally planned, all intake and exhaust for the new boilers in Hangars 7 and 9 will instead utilize existing roof penetrations. The contractor will reuse the roof penetrations and install new intake and exhaust stacks through them to code requirements, addressing any necessary roof repairs. All roof work is subject to approval by the contracting officer. The federal opportunity involves a small business set-aside for HVAC repair and replacement services with a value between $250,000 to $500,000. The response deadline is not provided.

Addendum 01
For
Repair HVAC H9, H7, B32 and B127
Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan
1. Rather than go thru the interior and exterior walls of Hangar 7 and Hangar 9 it was decided that we would opt to use the existing roof penetrations for the boiler intake and exhaust. Both Hangar 7 and Hangar 9 will have roof intakes and exhaust for all boilers.
The following items pertain to the addendum for the scope of work.
Addendum 01
1. For Hangar 7 and Hangar 9 delete all work relating to wall penetrations and brick work for concentric flush mounted intake and exhaust. There will be no wall-side penetrations or flush mounted concentric exhaust installed for both Hangar 7 and Hangar 9. There will be no brick analysis or brick work.
2. For Hangar 7 and Hangar 9 all exhaust and intake combustion air will be thru existing roof penetrations. The contractor will reuse the penetrations only. New exhaust and combustion stacks will be installed by this contractor in the existing roof penetrations.
3. For Hangar 7 and Hangar 9 the contractor will run new intake and exhaust air per the boiler manufacturer’s requirements and the Michigan Mechanical Code. Any necessary repair or alterations to the roof penetrations will be performed by this contractor.
4. All roof penetrations, modifications and repairs of the roof penetrations will be approved by the KO/COR for the construction project. The roof penetrations will be inspected by the 127th and will be approved construction or repaired by this contractor at no additional expense to the government.
5. All roof intakes and exhaust will be approved by the KO/COR for the construction project. The roof intakes and exhaust will be inspected by the 127th and will be approved construction or repaired by this contractor at no additional expense to the government.
The following are current pictures of the boiler roof penetrations for Hangars 7 and 9.
