7 September 2021 Solicitation W50S8421B0009 (Battle Creek ANGB South Side LED Lights) RFI
Q. Do you have a schedule of other materials such as quantities of dimmers, switches, and/or ceiling sensors needing replacement by building?
A. No, a lighting fixture schedule has not been provided, unless included in the installations existing documentation. Building Electrical/ Lighting Floor plans have been included with the solicitation for review/take-offs. We will review existing electronic files and provide all lighting schedules not included in the solicitation provided it is in our historic file.
Q. The solicitation required a bid bond but it also asks for a power of attorney letter. What is this and is the bid bond sufficient?
A. Per FAR 28.101-3, any person signing a bid bond as an attorney-in-fact shall include with the bid bond evidence of authority to bind the surety. An original, or a photocopy or facsimile of an original, power of attorney is sufficient evidence of such authority. The contracting officer shall treat the failure to provide a signed and dated power of attorney at the time of bid opening as a matter of responsiveness.
