Requests for Information W50S7Z-22-Q-0027 AV and SVTC for Bldgs 24 and 590

Questions - general:

1. Q1: Is there a solid fiber path from the existing Command Post building to the new Alternate Command Post building?

A1: We need a NEW solid fiber path from the existing Command Post building to the NEW Alternate Command Post building. Base Comm will need to facilitate this to be completed and tested before our arrival. Definite show stopper if not completed.

2. Q2: Can a Qty (3) CAT-5 or CAT-6 cable run between the new ALT CP console location and the room where the fiber equipment will be located?

A2: We need Qty (3) NEW CAT-5 or CAT-6 cable runs between the new ALT CP console location and the room where the fiber equipment will be located. Base Comm will need to facilitate these cable runs to be completed and tested before our arrival. Definite show stopper if not completed. The Qty (3) dedicated CAT-5 cable runs may use the building's HOUSE wiring between the console locations and the Comm room's Patch panel and then on from the Patch panel to the end point where the fiber equipment will be located. Terminated at all ends of course.

Questions Building 24:

1. Q: Is the requirement that only one image is displayed across the entire 3 x 3 array and not multiple video images? A: Yes, one image across the entire array (just like a LCD projector).

2. Q: Can you please verify that bidders are responsible for providing electrical power for the new video wall and for build out of the screen wall to accommodate the video wall? A: Yes, bidders will connect (existing wall power) to video wall and build frame for video wall.

3. Q: Can you please verify that bidders are responsible for removing the existing rear projection screen and disposing of it? A: Yes, bidders will demo and remove existing projection screen.

Questions Building 590:

1. Q: The in-ceiling projection screen specified in the bid will hit the existing window shade boxes when it is in a down position. Will the shade boxes be removed by the Army or can we specify a screen that plugs into power where it can be hung from the ceiling tiles instead and moved towards the conference table enough to clear the window boxes? A: Shade boxes can be removed (not by military), if needed – but if power can be ran through ceiling that would be ideal.

2. Q: Without knowing the make and model of the laptop to be used, can the government provide the laptop docking station instead of the contractor? A: YES

3. Q: Please verify if the laptop to be used at the table to connect to the system is the only computer in the room to be used with the av system and not the other desktop models that were in the room?

4. Q: Does contractor include the rolling cart in our bid? A: NO

5. Q: Please verify that the existing wall monitors do not need to tie into the new AV system? A:

Correct

6. Q: Are there any special security clearances needed by the AV technicians who would work in the room? A: They will need to be escorted.
