Vendor Questions
Q1: Description mentions the need for a DVR that is compatible with the 40 cameras, and needs to be connected with Ethernet cable. Question: This is an NVR not a DVR right ? (DVR is for coaxial NVR is Ethernet Cable) A1: Yes, NVR is more appropriate since the cameras would be connected via copper cabling to various switches all connected via fiber backbone back to the main NVR.
Q2: Resolution 1920 x 1080 (2MP)is a minimum right ? will a higher resolution of 2688 x 1520 be acceptable(4MP)?
A2: Yes, a higher resolution is completely acceptable.
Q3: Installing NVR (DVR) means all Ethernet cables have been installed already right?
A3: All ethernet cables have not been installed as of yet, but our infrastructure personnel would handle all of that since all of the switches the cameras are being connected to are housed within the same room. Each run would only need to be an average of 30’ long.
