About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) for a Fire Suppression Test and Inspection project (W50S6T25QA018) involving comprehensive fire system evaluations across multiple buildings. The project involves inspecting sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, special equipment, and conducting corrosion inspections for the Air National Guard, with a single site visit scheduled for 20 September 2025. Key details include that the inspection is a full reset of existing systems, will follow NFPA 25 and NFPA 72 standards, and requires the contractor to provide their own lift equipment for high-ceiling inspections. Many specific details about system configurations, device counts, and technical specifics will be provided after contract award, and the contractor will need to coordinate with the base fire department and city utilities for testing requirements. The project has a 90-day performance period with no weekend or holiday work currently permitted, and military personnel will escort contractors in restricted areas.

High expansion foam (HEF) pumps will not be included in this inspection. HEF buildings have been removed from SOW.

9. Special Equipment. Number and location of Fire Department Connections (FDCs). To be addressed after award.

10. Special Equipment. Number of hose valve outlets in stairwells. To be addressed after award.

11. Special Equipment. Number of control valves to be exercised and lubricated. To be addressed after award.

12. Corrosion Inspection. Have there been any recent corrosion or MIC (microbiologically influenced corrosion) issues reported?

We will provide results after award.

13. Corrosion Inspection. If corrosion testing is needed, will the government require specific lab use, or is contractor choice allowed?

Only inspections addressed on the Statement of Work (SOW) are required.

14. Base Access. Will access be granted for all buildings in one visit, or will some areas require escorts on different days?

There will be only one site visit on 20 September 2025 at 9am.

A sample of buildings will be reviewed.
