Fuel Apron Sunshade Fabric Replacement Q&A #2

1. Q. Should the shade structure have draped sides to match the adjacent structure?

A. Yes

2. Q. Can the Gov’t provide record As-Builts for the structure?

A. No, Original drawings are marked confidential and not available for distribution.

3. Q. Is there a Structural Analysis/Survey available for the damaged concrete at the base of support columns?

A. No, concrete and structural analysis is not in the scope of work for this effort.

4. Q. Is there an electric service disconnect for the overhead lighting?

A. Circuit breakers are not available. There are only on/off switches for the lighting.

5. Q. Can the Gov’t provide results from the last tension cable/rod inspection(s)?

A. No

6. Q. Will personnel scissor/high-lifts be allowed for use during the project?

A. Yes

7. Q. Are there any grounding/static line use requirements for this site?

A. No

8. Q. Is there power available for Contractor use?

A. Yes, electrical power in reasonable proximity to the install site will be available for the contactor’s incidental use in the performance of the contract.

9. Q. Are restroom facilities available for Contractor use?

A. No, contractor will be responsible to provide temporary facilities for employees if desired.

10. Q. Will space be available for a lay down area and site trailer?

A. Yes, temporary space will be available at a parking area.

11. Q. Will temporary fencing be allowed to separate construction zone?

A. Low profile barricades only. Less than 1 foot in height to delineate work area.

12. Q. Would the Gov’t need replacement lighting repairs to overhead lighting included as an option add-on?

A. No, this is not in the scope of work for this effort. Should the need arise in the future, a separate solicitation would be issued.

13. Q. Can you provide structural details and awning connection details / specifications?

A. No, see item 2 above.

14. Q. Are there any other specifications that can be provided in regard to SoW/SON?

A. No, by providing specific instructions, competition would be limited to one specific product manufacturer. As such, instructions may vary depending on which manufacturer the vendor obtains the fabric from. Thus, the offeror will be responsible to obtain/determine necessary installation techniques.
