1 1. On sheet A-0.5 Division 5 calls for a delegated Design in section 055119 METAL GRATING STAIRS which includes the following per Part 1; On sheet S-0.1 under STRUCUCTURAL STEEL AND MISC. METALS there is only reference to a shop drawing submittal for the EOR review.

Is a “Delegated Design” required for the details shown on S-5.0?

12/7 to Abby, Jerry A delegated design is not required for the items on sheet S-5.0. A delegated design is required for steel stairs and guardrails.

Shervin S.

2 On drawing G-1.0, MAU schedule, Note 7 states 93% efficiency, and the spec states 80% efficiency – which one is correct? 12/23 to Jerry Final equipment selection were identified in the schedule. Israel F.

3 Detail 2/A-0.2, Keynote #2 calls out for “NEW INTERIOR PARTITION SECTION TO MATCH IMMEDIATE ADJACENT”. The detail calls for a 5’-3” addition to an existing wall. Actual On site in the Men’s Restroom there is no wall there to match. (see attached photo) If this is to be an entire new wall constructed in that location, please provide wall type, framing member and size call out, wall height and wall finishes

12/23 to Jerry Wall to match existing restroom wall at entry; match existing as-built ‘P’ wall type construction, height and finish. (see attached; ' WALL HEAD DETAIL ')

Kevin J.

4 The Existing wall between the hangar and the men’s restroom is a combination of CMU and furred out framing. Please clarify that on Sheets A- 0.2, S1.0 & S5.0, if the additional HSS steel frame (6/S5.0) goes on the hangar side or the restroom side of the wall. If on the hangar side, does the new steel get painted?

12/23 to Jerry Steel is to be constructed on the restroom side. Kevin J.

Please clarify if the new door 118B is to be installed in the CMU wall new opening or the furred out portion of the wall?

12/23 to Jerry New Door 118B is to be installed in the furred out portion of the wall, as shown on A- 0.2.

Kevin J.

Detail 6/S5.0 calls for a specific size opening cut in the existing CMU wall starting from the existing floor slab. Please clarify that the bottom of the opening is to be cut from the “interior +18” finish floor slab thus leaving the 18” of CMU below the opening intact on the hangar side?

12/23 to Jerry Concur, the demo begins at the bottom of the door opening, flush with the bathroom floor.

Kevin J.

7 Sheet M2.0 calls out the sizes for the new equipment louvers but I am not finding a Spec section for the louver requirements. Please provide specifications for the new louvers.

12/23 to Jerry Provide Ruskin ELF6375DX or approved equal for the new louvers. Israel F.

8 On the demolition sheet M-1.0 note #2 states “DISCONNECT AND REMOVE EXHAUST FAN AND DUCTWORK AND ASSOCIATED CONTROLS.

EXISTING LOUVER TO REMAIN”. This note is at 4 each existing floor to roof exhaust fans that are to be removed and they exit through the roof, they do not have louvers. Are the existing “Roof Hoods” to remain? Are the new damper plenum shown on sheet M-2.0 for exhaust fans 3 – 6 (note 3 M-2.0) to transition into the existing roof hood? If new larger roof penetrations are to be installed please provide sizes, hood and curb design, insulation and roofing requirements and details.

12/23 to Jerry Refer to attched 'Roof Curb Roof Vent' detail. The existing roof hoods serving EF-3-6 will be replaced with roof hood specified on sketch.

Israel F.

9 There is no spec for paint for the conduit or ducting in section 0991323, does the new conduit and ductwork paint? 12/23 to Jerry Contractor to match existing color spec and finish. Israel F.

10 On Sheet M6.0 the Make-Up Air Unit schedule, note #6 calls out (2) 4” sch 40 PVC flue exhaust for each of the four furnaces. The Drawings do not depict this. Where will these flues terminate? Please provide a location and details 12/23 to Jerry For MAU-1 and MAU-3 route the flue vents to gridlines 13.1 and L and provide a sidewall vent exiting thur gridline L. For MAU-2 and MAU-4 route the flue vents west of gridline 18 and provide a sidewall vent exiting gridline L. Field verify exact routing of the flues. Meet all recommended requirements per Manufactures installation guides.

Israel F.

11 Sheet M2.0 on “L” line shows several Louvers along the exterior wall. (No snow hoods are shown) Sheet M-3.0 detail 2 MAU OSA intake shows an exterior “Snow Hood” in lieu of a louver. Please clarify if louvers or snow hoods are required?

12/23 to Jerry Provide snow hoods with louver for MAU-1, MAU-2, MAU-3, MAU-4 and two outside air louvers between gridline 14 and 15.

Israel F.

12 Are hose reels HRP-1 thru 8 retraction and payout to be controlled by manual momentary switch? 12/23 to Jerry Correct. Israel F.

13 Does the flexible hose for HRP-1 thru 8 need to be electrically grounded ? 12/23 to Jerry Correct, flex hose comes with electrical grounding wire or designed for fuel vapor removal. The wire should be ground to building ground.

Israel F.

The “Hose Reel Schedule” on sheet M-6.0 calls for 6 new breathing air reels. Sheet M-2.2 shows the location of HRB-1,2 & 3 on gridline 21 on the right side of the drawing. On the right side on grid line 11 it shows the same symbol by calls out (DRAWING) Is that supposed to be the location of

HRB 4,5 & 6?

12/23 to Jerry Refer to drawing P-2.2 and P-4.0. HRB 4,5,and 6 are located below gridline U on grid line 11. The test (E) Valve Box is a typo. Should say "1-1/2"BA DN TO VALVE BOX, THEN 1-1/2" TO HRB-4,5,6 WALL HOSE REEL, (TYP 3). Contractor is correct, should be HRB 4,5, and 6.

Israel F.

15 E-2.1 detail 2 shows an exit light sign in the walk through. Detail 3 does not show an existing exit light sign and on E-7.0 does not indicate that a new exit light sign is to be provided. Please confirm and provide product information on the light fixture schedule.

12/23 to Jerry Symbol shown is a wall mounted occupancy sensor, not an exit sign. Israel F.

16 E-2.2 shows two new control panels but does not indicate that electrical power is needed for the control panels. New panels HM and LM do not indicate any new circuits for the control panels. Please identify if circuits are needed.

12/23 to Jerry Provide (2) 120V homeruns with #10 wires to Panel LM, circuits 13 and 14 Israel F.

17 Any new circuits for the control panels. Please identify if circuits are needed. 12/23 to Jerry Provide (2) 120V homeruns with #10 wires to Panel LM, circuits 13 and 14 Israel F.

12/23 to Jerry Final equipment selection were identified in the schedule. Sheet M-6.0 note 6 calls for PVC exhaust flue's. Refer to response on comment #4.

Israel F.

20 If indirect fired are required where do you want the flue piping to exit the building? Please provide detail. 12/23 to Jerry Refer to response on comment #10 Israel F.

21 Are the variable frequency drive for the EF’S to explosion proof?

12/23 to Jerry The VFD's do not have to be explosion proof as long as they are located outside the maintenance boundary and 4 feet above finish floor.

Israel F.

22 On EF1,2,3,4,5 & 6 are we to use the existing building openings or will they require new openings?

12/23 to Jerry All exhaust fans will utilize existing openings. The opening will require modification to meet new conditions.
