Comment / Question Technical Answer/Remarks
The SF1442 nor Amendment 0001 provide a bid due date/time. Can you provide?
The response date for this solicitation is 16 Apr 2018 @ 2:00PM EST. You can find this information in section 13 of solicitation or by searching for W25G1V-18-R-0007 on fbo.gov and looking on the right side of the notice under General Information.
The SF1442 states that a bid bond is required; however, the solicitation docs do not provide specifics as to how much the bid bond should be for (i.e. 20% of price, etc.). Can you clarify?
Section 13 B. of the solicitation stated that an offer guarantee was required. Amendment 0002 corrects this error to read that an offer guarantee is not required.

If you are called, we probably already alerted Security of the situation.

The Government will supply an on-site area for storage of material.
The contractor must supply their own trailer.
We have recently received price increase announcements from our suppliers, who will be implementing significant price increases across all roofing materials, accessories, and all steel and aluminum products. These increases range from 5 to 25 %. Due to the volatility of material pricing, please explain if and how the 4 year firm fixed-price, can be adjusted to compensate the contractor for these additional costs? How do we address this? Is there a chance for economic adjustments?
As with any contract, it is impossible to predict future increases in material pricing. Every Firm Fixed Price contract comes with a degree of liability on the Contractor's behalf. Costs can increase or decrease over a projects period of performance. As stated in the pricing schedule, price will be forecasted for the base and each option period. It is the Contractor's duty to price these periods as practically as possible based on market knowledge and expectations. There will be no economic adjustments based on market conditions.

I don't see a unit price for standing seam/metal roof panels. At the pre-bid it was evident that there are damaged metal roof panels but there is not unit price to fix them.
See item #49 & Question #3 (above).
For the "Net Amount" under Item #1 on page 4of the Solicitation - is this simply just the sum of all of the unit prices? Or are we to make assumptions on expected quantities of each unit price for the year?
The "Net AMT" sections on pages 4-6 of the solicitation are not to be completed by prospective bidders. Bidders will complete the "Roof Repair Price Schedule" beginning on page 7. Each item must be priced for base & option years. The cumulative totals for each item will be added together to determine lowest cost to the Government.
This, along with responsibility determinations, will determine the successful awardee. All costs associated with this contract must be included in the price schedule. No other costs shall be invoiced.
Any metal products will likely increase 15-25% in the near future due to tariff increases. Is there any relief available either in the content of the contract, or by future negotiation?
