About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) response for the CSS 94031 Drill Hall Heater Replacement project. The RFI contains nine questions and answers related to technical specifications and project requirements, including: fire alarm system connection for new air handling units (AHUs), ductwork configuration, Notice to Proceed (NTP) timing, contractor roles, documentation requirements, and existing building automation system (BAS) details. Key technical clarifications include: new AHUs will not be connected to the fire alarm system, mixing box return configuration is acceptable, the NTP will occur after a legal review of bonding (with work beginning 10 days after issuance), and the contractor can combine safety, QA, and site supervision roles. The government also confirmed acceptance of red-line drawings as as-built drawings and noted limited availability of existing equipment information or MEP as-built documentation.
