QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS IN REGARDS TO RFP W15QKN20R5034
Q1. I was writing to see if there was another address other than 3300 7th division RD, Jolon CA
93928. There are slim to no hotels besides the ones on base in a 10 mile radius. Please let me know of another address if you have one or any exceptions that can be made.
A1: The address is for the TASS Training Center where all of the staff will be working. 10 Mile radius is used to limit the amount of travel time for these Soldiers. After working a 13 hour shift it is not safe to have someone travel long distances.
Q2: Is it possible to extend beyond the 10 mile radius requirement to Paso Robles
(approximately 42 Miles - 42 Minutes) as there are a few newer property options like the
Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn and Oxford Suites that have superior facilities?
A2: 10 mile radius was chosen to limit the amount of travel time between sleeping arrangements and the place of duty. Unfortunately longer travel distances offer more opportunity for accidents that could hinder the operations (eg. Instructor gets in accident on the way to class making him/her late for training).
Q3: Will you be providing the awardee with a tax exempt certificate?
A3: Yes
Q4: Are hotels with exterior entry doors being considered for this RFP? If no is the answer, is there any flexibility to considering hotels beyond the required 10 mile radius of building 3300 7th
Division Road, Jolon, CA 93928? If there is flexibility in the 10 mile distance, what will be the distance/range considered.
A4: Hotels with exterior doors should be considered. The 10 mile Radius was selected for the safety of Soldiers and should not be increased, unless there are no hotels within the 10 mile radius that can meet the expectations.
