About this file
This pre-solicitation notice announces an upcoming request for proposal for armor hardware, turret systems, and platform integration kits. The U.S. Army Contracting Command-New Jersey will issue the RFP on behalf of Project Manager Soldier Weapons. The RFP will have a 100% small business set-aside and result in up to three multiple award IDIQ contracts with a base period of one year and four one-year options. Technical data packages for objective gunner protection kits, combat vehicle turret assemblies, and vehicle integration kits will be provided as attachments to the solicitation with distribution limitations. Offerors must complete non-disclosure agreements to receive the technical data packages. The RFP is expected to be released on or about October 18, 2017 and require first article testing from awardees. Contractors must demonstrate the ability to produce up to 50 kits per month initially for each required configuration and related spares, and ramp up to a minimum of 300 kits per month within six months.
