STATEMENT OF WORK
Remote Activation Munition System (RAMS)
M152/MK152 MOD 0
1.0 Scope
This Statement of Work (SOW) sets forth the work efforts required for the production and delivery of the Remote Activation Munition
System (RAMS) M152/MK152 MOD 0. The contractor shall furnish all labor and material to perform the work as described in the SOW, the
Technical Data Package (TDP) and as set forth in this contract. The scope of this effort includes the accomplishment of all tasks, deliverables, and responsibilities required to perform full-scale production of the Remote Activation Munition System (RAMS): M152/MK152
MOD 0.
This SOW shall be applicable to all Delivery Orders awarded under this contract.
1.1 Description
RAMS is a secure, radio-controlled system designed to remotely control demolition charges. RAMS gives the user the capability to destroy, delay, and disrupt an enemy while avoiding direct contact. The RAMS M152 consists of five distinct components: Transmitter-M26, Battery Retainer-M6, for the transmitter, Instruction Sheets, Flashlight-M1 with accessories, six M16 receivers (electric blasting cap actuating), two transmitter antennas, and five spare battery boards. Similarly the RAMS MK152 MOD 0 consists of: Transmitter-MK26 MOD 0, Battery Retainer- M6, six MK16 MOD 0 receivers (electric blasting cap actuating), two transmitter antennas, and five spare battery boards and instruction sheet. Prior to engagement, operators can perform a full power range data link test to make sure all signals are received that are built into the transmitter and receivers. RAMS is lightweight, just over three pounds for the transmitter and receiver, and has a system range of more than five kilometers. Originally designed for the Special Operation Forces (SOF), the RAMS is a firing device that was adopted by the US Marines, Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) community, and Army Combat Engineers. It is a replacement for the M122 Remote Demolition Firing Device.
