About this file
This document is a visitor pre-enrollment instruction letter for accessing DLA Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin, a Department of War installation.
Visitors and contractors must complete pre-enrollment in the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) at least 3 working days prior to their scheduled visit without exception. The enrollment process requires applicants to access the DBIDS secure pre-enrollment portal at https://dbids-global-enroll.dmdc.mil/preenrollui/#/landing-page, complete a five-step enrollment process, and receive a six-digit alphanumeric confirmation code upon completion. Applicants must then provide this confirmation code to their DLA Sponsor, who will complete a separate visit request document using the applicant's information and DBIDS confirmation number. The data collected—including SSN, Driver's License Number, or other acceptable identification—is used by security offices to verify individual identity, monitor installation access, support DoW physical security and information assurance programs, record personal property, and generate facility management reports. Sponsors must submit the completed visit requests 3 working days prior to the requested visit date to prevent delays at Pass and ID.
