RFQ WS1806934386

The Prince George’s County Animal Services Division plays a critical role in protecting the health, safety, and welfare of both animals and residents throughout Prince George’s County. The Animal Services Facility and Adoption Center provides shelter, daily care, medical and veterinary services, adoption, foster and rescue opportunities, animal control services, pet licensing, vaccination and spay/neuter resources, and community education.

The facility cares for a diverse population of animals, including animals that are homeless, stray, surrendered, abused, neglected, sick, or injured. Because many animals entering the facility require medical evaluation, preventive care, treatment, surgery, or ongoing veterinary attention, access to qualified and responsive veterinary services is essential to the County's ability to provide humane and appropriate care.

This solicitation for Veterinary Services is therefore an important component of the Animal Services Division's overall mission. The County is seeking qualified veterinary providers who can partner with the Animal Services Division to support the health and welfare of the animals in its care and help promote positive outcomes, including recovery, adoption, rescue, foster placement, or reunification with their owners.
