1. INTRODUCTION

a. The primary mission of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Installation Management is to directly provide services for Disposition Services. Disposition Services (DS) function is to dispose of Department of Defense (DoD) excess and surplus personal property generated by the military services. This is accomplished through reutilization to other DoD activities, transfer to other Federal agencies, donation to authorized state and local organizations, sale to the public, or ultimate disposal through abandonment or destruction. DLA DS is headquartered in Battle Creek, Michigan, with a variety of field sites worldwide.

b. This requirement is for the purchase and delivery to acquire one (1) new electric ride-on pallet jack for the DLA DS Fort Meade site located 77 Rock Ave. Fort Meade, MD 20755.

c. This contract is a firm-fixed price (FFP), one-time purchase.

a. New Equipment ONLY; No remanufactured or “gray market” items.

b. When CLIN 0001 is ordered, the contractor shall purchase, deliver and provide training for one (1) electric ride-on pallet jack with the following minimum characteristics:

· Electric ride-on pallet jack

· 6,000 lbs. lifting capacity

· Accessory bar

· Work fan

· Heavy-duty bumper guards - A rubber bumper skirt around the steel to prevent objects from going under the platform.

· Fork length 48 inches

· Fork width 8 inches

· Automatic drive tire centering

· 24-volt battery

· On board charger with 120V plug-in

3. MANUALS AND FAMILIARIZATION TRAINING

a. The Contractor shall provide one digital and one hard copy Operators Manual Guide, and Maintenance and Service Manual for delivered equipment.

4. EQUIPMENT DELIVERY AND WARRANTY

a. For the Contractor to successfully handoff the pallet jack and receive payment from the U.S Government (USG), they shall be present for delivery, unloading and assembly (if required) for each piece of machinery. The Contractor shall conduct an inspection with USG personnel to verify that the pallet jack meets all minimum characteristic requirements prior to hand-off completion. The Contractor shall complete and sign the provided DD250 with USG personnel and attach the completed form in WAWF prior to acceptance for payment. A picture of the data plate with serial number shall be attached to the invoice prior to USG acceptance.

b. This equipment shall come with the manufacturer’s standard equipment warranty. The warranty date shall begin on the date of delivery.

5. BASE ACCESS

The Contractor shall coordinate base installation access for all their employees. The Contractor shall be familiar with and comply with all Base Command policies regarding security considerations for all Contractor employees.

6. DESTINATION

a. The Contractor shall coordinate with DLA DS Fort Meade site 14-business days prior to delivery to conduct a pre-delivery meeting with the Site POC (see section 7).

b. The Contractor shall provide all labor and deliver all material and equipment to DLA DS Fort Meade.
