About this file
This document is a set of vendor questions regarding the layout for bus seating for a paratransit shuttle bus contract opportunity from the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs (IDVA). The contract calls for two (2) paratransit shuttle buses, with a desired bus layout including two (2) fixed seats, one (1) double passenger foldaway seat, and twelve (12) wheelchair positions. The vendor questions seek clarification on the specific bus floorplan and layout, as well as inquire about the desired integrated GPS system. The contract specifies the bus will only be able to seat 8 ambulatory people, 12 wheelchairs, plus the driver, and the vendor has attached a diagram of the proposed seating arrangement.
The document does not provide details on pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or other salient information. It focuses solely on clarifying the technical specifications and layout for the requested paratransit shuttle buses.

Vendor Questions regarding the layout for the bus seating.
1. I am curious as to what floorplan is desired on this bus? I see that it calls for (2) fixed seats, (1) double passenger foldaway, and (12) wheelchair positions. I just want to know a layout of how you are wanting this to be.
Attached is a diagram of the seat positioning for the bus. This should answer any question about the positions and placement of fixed, foldaway, and wheelchair positions
1. Is there a certain integrated GPS system that is desired? In dash?
The GPS system is to be integrated into the dash. There is no preference towards an brand or operating system.
3. Per the specifications the bus will only be able to seat 8 ambulatory people, 12 wheelchairs plus the driver. Is this what you are wanting or are you wanting more fold away seating to be able to carry more people if there are not wheelchairs being used.
We are attaching a diagram of what we are wanting and there will only need to be 1 fold away seat.
