About this file
This is a Vendor Questions and Answers document for a state and local contract opportunity identified as B-52297, addressing inquiries regarding the procurement of Pressure Seal Renewal with Sticker Forms. The solicitation requires the apparent low bidder to submit a minimum of 100 print-ready test samples for each proposed sticker construction type (glued and non-glued) within 3 business days of bid opening notification. The samples must consist of the exact paper stock that will be used in final production, complete with perforation and stickers, though printing is not required at the sample stage. Following sample approval, a first test run of the exact finished product is due in July to verify quality and functionality before large-scale orders are delivered. The procurement also involves artwork with decals on the back of well patches, where adhesive is applied to the forms.
The response clarifies that test samples are intended for machine compatibility testing rather than full production runs, with blank samples acceptable for this purpose. Proofs containing the actual printing will be provided separately for approval. The vendor's clarification regarding the red box on the back of the well patch decal confirms that this element will not be printed, as it serves solely as the adhesion point where the decal is glued or adhered to the form.

Vendor Questions and Answers Set One B-52297
1. Question: In Section 1.2.16. Required Samples, there is the following verbiage:
Once the bid is opened, the apparent low bidder will be notified and must send a minimum of 100 (print ready) test samples for Pressure Seal Renewal with Sticker Forms for each proposed sticker construction (i.e. glued and non-glued) within 3 business days of notification While it states print ready, we are still questioning whether this is a sample for mockup or is there a requirement to go to press to produce 100 finished sheets.
Answer: The samples we are requesting from the apparent low bidder just need to be the exact paper that will be used, with perforation, and a sticker, but they can be blank. We need to run them through our machines to make sure they will work. The proofs will have the printing on them. Once proofs are approved, the first test run of the exact product is due in July to make sure everything is correct before the large orders are delivered.
2. Question: If you look at the .pdf for the artwork, you will notice that there is a red box on the back of the well patch for the decal.
Is this going to be printed as well?
Answer: There is no printing on that. That is the back of the patch for the decal. That is where it is glued or adhered to the form.
