About this file

This is a Vendor Questionnaire document issued by the City of Santa Monica, California, for audio-visual enhancements to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium at the Santa Monica Public Library located at 601 Santa Monica Boulevard. The City seeks qualified AV contractors to design, furnish, install, program, and commission system enhancements to the auditorium. The questionnaire requires vendors to demonstrate relevant experience through documentation of up to three comparable projects completed within the last five years, identify key project personnel with applicable certifications, and present a comprehensive system design concept addressing projection, video, audio, and control systems. Vendors must outline their project management approach, proposed timeline with key milestones including design approval, installation start, programming, testing, and final acceptance, and describe their coordination strategy to minimize disruption to Library operations during installation.

The questionnaire requires vendors to address integration with existing infrastructure, control system design with intuitive user interfaces for Library staff, programming and testing procedures with quality assurance measures, staff training and documentation delivery, warranty coverage for workmanship and equipment, and post-installation technical support with specified response times. Vendors must provide at least three client references for similar AV integration projects and identify their California contractor licenses, DIR registration numbers, and relevant manufacturer or AVIXA certifications. The questionnaire also requests vendor proposals for optional add-on components including speaker system upgrades, ADA-compliant lecterns, assistive listening systems, and PTZ cameras, along with identification of value engineering opportunities that meet or exceed performance requirements while maintaining system compatibility and future scalability.
