About this file
The document is a vendor question file related to a bottled water service procurement by the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) for the Shapiro Center located at 100 E. Jeffery Street in Kankakee, IL. The procurement opportunity involves weekly bottled water delivery services, with a contract ID of 680fabb8053d886dc70b7f38, and is scheduled for posting on April 28, 2025, with proposals due by May 2, 2025. The current vendor inquiry seeks clarification on existing cooler configurations, specifically confirming that the required water dispensers will have both warm and cold water settings.
The procurement appears to be a standard state contract with typical compliance requirements, including potential minority contractor considerations and a $15 fee for contracts over $1,000. While a specific contract value is not detailed, vendors must be prepared to demonstrate capability for consistent weekly water delivery. The standard terms and conditions suggest vendors will need to maintain specific insurance coverages, comply with prevailing wage laws, and potentially undergo background checks. The primary focus is on providing reliable hydration services to the Shapiro Center, with an emphasis on operational efficiency and vendor accountability.

Text version
- Do you have a photo of the current coolers being used now? I do not have a photo of the coolers currently being used. Not exact, but looks similar to the cooler below.
- Will the machines need a hot water setting as well, or just cold water? The coolers have a warm and cold setting.
