About this file
This is a Vendor Affidavit regarding the use of coercion for labor and services required by Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) in Florida. The affidavit is mandated by Section 787.06(13) of the Florida Statutes and must be signed by an authorized officer or representative of any nongovernmental contractor executing, renewing, or extending a contract with HCPS. The affidavit applies to a welding bender goods and services bid opportunity. By signing the affidavit under penalty of perjury, the contractor certifies compliance with Florida law prohibiting human trafficking and coercion for labor or services.
The contractor must affirm that it does not engage in physical force, unlawful restraint or confinement, exploitative debt practices, document confiscation, financial threats, fraud or deceit, or provision of controlled substances for exploitation purposes. This affidavit is a prerequisite compliance document rather than a pricing, payment, or contractual terms document. The requirement applies to all vendors bidding on HCPS contracts and must be completed and submitted as part of the bid package.
