About this file

This is a site improvement plan drawing for the City of Santa Cruz Fire Department's Fire Station #3, prepared by CG/Civil Consultants Group, Inc. The plan depicts the installation of a new metal storage building on the property located at 3335 Young Love Avenue in Santa Cruz, California. The project scope includes demolition of existing asphalt pavement through saw cutting and removal, utility trenching for electrical and fire sprinkler systems with pipe installation, concrete pad construction with subgrade preparation, formwork, rebar installation, concrete pour and finishing, building anchorage installation, and removal and replacement of the existing storm drain inlet connection with a new bio-retention area. The concrete pad must be designed to support fire apparatus weighing approximately 55,000 pounds each and meet all specifications outlined in the architectural, civil, and electrical plans. The site plan is drawn at a scale of 1 inch equals 10 feet and includes designations for existing and new asphalt pavement, concrete work, concrete flush curbs, bio-retention areas, and approximate locations for electrical and fire sprinkler trenches.

All work must comply with the 2022 California Building Codes, Chapter 6.12 of the Santa Cruz Municipal Code, and the Green Building Checklist requirements including site management, best management practices, construction waste reduction and recycling, product global warming potential compliance, and finish material pollutant control. Bidders are required to coordinate with previously selected vendors for electrical, above-ground fire sprinkler, and building installation work, attend all required City of Santa Cruz inspections, and maintain compliance with the Construction Waste Management Plan. A labor and performance bond and materials bond will be required upon project award, although a bid bond is not required for submission.
