About this file

This document is a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Physical Security and Collateral Space Monitoring for the United States Military Training Mission (USMTM) in Saudi Arabia. The SOP establishes detailed roles, responsibilities, and procedures for security monitors across two office buildings (OB1 and OB2). Key responsibilities include maintaining security through the Intrusion Detection System (IDS), positively identifying personnel entering and exiting buildings, conducting interior and exterior inspections outside core work hours (0800-1600), and logging all activities on DA Form 1594.

Security monitors are required to ensure only authorized personnel with USMTM proximity cards access the facilities, with local nationals and contractors always requiring escorts. Monitors are positioned in the Security Operations Center and as roving elements, with no more than three monitors per shift. Their duties include programming proximity cards, checking collateral spaces, reporting critical incidents, maintaining professional appearance, and executing Random Anti-Terrorism Measures. The monitors must conduct four interior checks and two exterior perimeter checks during non-core hours, ensuring all collateral spaces are secure and documenting their activities in Microsoft Teams.
