About this file

This document is an Addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by Washington State University (WSU) for professional editing services to ensure a high-quality technical report is published. The RFP is for the ASCENT Annual Report Technical Editing project. WSU is seeking proposals from firms capable of providing the requested services and intends to award one contract. The RFP provides details on the scope of work, which includes copy editing, technical editing, formatting, and project management. Specific requirements include following APA style, making suggestions to improve clarity and reduce redundancy, and adhering to a prescribed template. WSU estimates the total word count to be 375,000-400,000 and has provided pricing details, including $0.073 per word for editing services and $73 per hour for formatting and project management.

The contract term is not specified. WSU will provide the documents for editing in a shared Dropbox and expects the contractor to edit using track changes mode, upload completed sections, and work with authors to resolve any edits. WSU will have a single point of contact to manage the project workflow and communication. This is an opportunity for firms with the required expertise to provide professional editing services for a highly technical annual report on behalf of WSU.
