About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the procurement of two anchored pool cover systems for the 9 FSS/FSWO at the Lakehouse and Main Pool locations. The project requires a mesh pool cover for each pool with specific technical requirements, including complete pool coverage extending 18 inches beyond pool edges, high-quality polypropylene fabric, and a mesh with 80-125 micron openings to prevent crane fly larvae. Pool sizes are 41'7" x 74'7" for the Lakehouse and 41'10" x 82'4" for the Main Base Pool, with both pools requiring a non-corrosive anchoring system, pool cover storage (bag or stainless steel reel), and optional reel protector.
Key procurement details include a mandatory site visit on 7 August 2025 at 9AM, with interested parties required to submit a Contractor Entry Access List Form by 5 August. Installation is scheduled for 29 September or as coordinated with the point of contact, during normal business hours (8AM to 5PM). The contractor must provide pool covers compatible with both freshwater (Main Pool) and saltwater (Lakehouse pool) environments. The procurement includes a requirement for a minimum 10-year warranty on the pool coverage system, and addresses ongoing issues with crane fly larvae infestations and debris accumulation in the pools.

STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
FOR
9 FSS/FSWO POOL COVERS
SCOPE:
The contractor shall deliver and provide necessary materials, labor, and supervision for the installation of two (2) anchored pool cover systems and accessories at the Lakehouse and Main Pool locations for offseason use. For reference, the Lakehouse pool contains saltwater whereas the Main Pool contains fresh water. Products for the Lakehouse pool must be compatible with saltwater. All products shall meet the following specifications outlined in this Statement of Work (SOW) with installation ocurring on or after 29 September, which is the day after the official pool closing.
BACKGROUND:
Crane fly larvae infestations have been an ongoing problem at both pools, occasionally requiring closure of the main pool. Additionally, fallen leaves, branches, and other debris have accumulated in the pools during the fall and winter months. Contractor quoted items must be able to mitigate these concerns.
SITE VISIT:
A site visit for this requirement will take place on 7 August 2025, at 9AM. No other dates and times will be provided. Interested parties shall request and return the “Contractor Entry Access List Form” from the Contracting POC’s by 5 August to secure attendance.
WORK HOURS:
The contractor must coordinate with the identified POC to schedule installation, preferably 29 September or as agreed upon with the POC. This POC will be identified once the award is made.
A minimum of 2 weeks’ notification is required prior to installation. If agreed upon with the POC, an alternative arrangement may be made. All work shall be conducted during normal business hours, 8AM to 5PM.
REQUIREMENTS:
The contractor shall provide the following items for each pool:
Mesh Pool Cover (Lake House and Main Base Pool)
• Pool Coverage: Complete coverage of the entire pool and extending at least 18 inches beyond the edge of the pool. Overlapping and empty spaces will not be permitted.
• Size: Measured from pool edge (Lake House: 41'7'' x 74'7'', Main Base: 41'10'' x 82'4'').
• Material: High Quality Polypropylene Fabric
• Flow Control: Mesh with a minimum of 80 openings per square inch and no greater than
125 microns to prevent crane larvae and other harmful insects.
• Thickness: Minimum of 500 microns (or 0.0197 inches).
• Obstructions: The pool covers must accommodate obstructions such as the slide, ladder, and lifts outlined in the Contractor’s Questions and Answers Document, while covering the entirety of the pool.
Anchoring System (Lake House and Main Base Pool)
• Pool Deck: Anchoring system must be secured into the pool deck and not create tripping hazards. Any necessary tools to attach or detach shall accompany the anchoring system.
• Attachment: Covers must tightly attach creating a secure anchoring system.
• Straps: Double perimeter webbing.
• Material: 100% non-corrosive material suitable for outdoor exposure.
Pool Cover Storage (Lake House and Main Base Pool)
• Type: Bag or Manual Stainless Steel Reel
• Material: High Quality Polypropylene Fabric or Equivalent
• Capacity: Sufficient capacity and structural integrity to hold the weight and size of the respective pool cover with proper ventilation. Bags shall be big enough to pack and repack the cover with minimal effort.
• Mobility: If quoted, reels must have wheels or other mechanisms for easy movement and positioning.
Reel Protector (If Quoted)(Lake House and Main Base Pool)
• Material: UV-resistant
• Design: Snug fit over the storage reel allowing protection from outdoor conditions.
• Durability: Tear-resistant and able to withstand outdoor conditions.
