About this file
This is an Intent to Negotiate (ITN) document issued by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) for intermediate warranty services on Generac Industrial Standby Generators and Industrial Transfer Switches. The ITN seeks a single provider to deliver warranty maintenance, diagnostics, and repair services for 99 generators and transfer switches installed across Genesee, Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties under MDOT project numbers 213922, 216564, and 217122. Required services include 24/7/365 support availability, staff training on routine generator and transfer system checks, paid site visits for routine inspections, emergency service call response within one hour during power outages, and parts and materials costs in accordance with warranty guidelines. The ITN was issued on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, with a proposal deadline of Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. EST. A bidder questions deadline was set for Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. EST, with answers posted by Thursday, August 20, 2026. No bidder's conference or site visits are mentioned in the document.
The intended sole source is Wolverine Power Systems, located at 46968 Liberty Drive, Wixom, Michigan, identified as the only authorized Generac Industrial Authorized Service Dealer (IASD) for the specified locations. The document indicates that annual generator maintenance services are currently provided under a separate DTMB contract with Preventive Maintenance Technologies (PMT). Potential bidders who believe equivalent products or services are available must submit a written response by the proposal deadline describing their alternative offerings. No specific pricing information, set-asides, or contract term length is provided in this ITN document. The commodity code referenced is 93639 for generators and related equipment.
