About this file

This document is an Attachment B to an Agricultural/Wildlife & Habitat Land Lease for the Lowden Miller S.F./Castle Rock S.P. contract opportunity (24AL2238) issued by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. The lease requirements detail the cropping plan for the 74.4 total leased acres across 7 fields from 2024 through 2027. The cropping plan specifies the annual crop rotations of corn and soybeans, with allowances for alternative crops if planting the designated crop is not possible due to weather. The lease also includes several required actions, such as not using neonicotinoid treated seeds, prohibiting the use of dicamba, and leaving 5% of standing corn and soybean crops unharvested.

The lease payments and terms are not explicitly stated in this attachment. However, the document indicates that non-adherence to the cropping plan instructions may result in termination of the farm lease. Additionally, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources may require the lessee to leave all or a portion of the crops standing without harvesting, for which the lessee would still be responsible for the agreed-upon rent per acre.
