STATEMENT OF WORK

DESIGN, MANUFACTURE, INSTALL OVERHEAD BRIDGE CRANE SYSTEM BLDG 1141 AIR FORCE CIVIL ENGINEER CENTER (AFCEC)

CIVIL ENGINEER MAINTENANCE INSPECTION & REPAIR TEAM (CEMIRT)

TYNDALL AFB FL

This statement of work (SOW) is for the out-sourced procurement of a complete overhead whole building bridge crane system. The contractor awarded shall provide the resources required to accomplish this effort in accordance with the governments outlined requirements listed in this SOW.

OBJECTIVE: The objective of this effort is to provide a 100% fully operational system to the Civil Engineer Maintenance Inspection & Repair Team (CEMIRT), Tyndall AFB FL, for the project construct a free standing Overhead Bridge Crane System spanning the length of Bldg. 1141 as stated below.

SCOPE: This SOW describes services to be provided for the following project: Title Install Overhead Bridge Crane system, Bldg. 1141

PURPOSE: The purpose of this project is to provide a “turn-key” design, manufacture and installation of a free standing Overhead Bridge Crane System for manipulating large equipment assets. Contractor shall provide associated remote mounted or other ancillary equipment to the existing building floor plan for efficient operation of new bridge crane system. All installation work to be in-place at Bldg. 1141. The system must include approved UL508A control boxes. Contractor must meet all current National Electric Code (NEC) fusing requirements for installation of bridge cranes, i.e. bridge, trolley, and hoist protection. Installation requires all necessary equipment and accessories for fully operational system. This SOW includes removal of two existing standalone Jib Crane equipment and the installation of all new related equipment, testing, and training of end user personnel.

The project will be managed by AFCEC/COMR, Tyndall AFB FL. Project Manager/Facility Manager.

Installation Project: The contractor may survey the existing electrical and supporting infrastructure in Bldg. 1141 and make recommendations for removal/replacement/improvement, modification and/or reutilization of the existing infrastructure and equipment. Bridge Crane System electrical requirements and or equipment power requirements shall be coordinated with Project Manager. All recommendations must be reviewed and approved by the end item user. The project shall include but is not limited to the following items:

Demolition: The contractor shall develop a demolition plan and removal proposal for the existing two floor mounted Jib Cranes and associated components. Remove all Jib Crane floor bolts.

New Work/Modifications:

Rail System:
Condition: No rail system exists
Install: Approximately 150ft of ASCE 30# runway beam each side with hook bolts and splice plates sized for 25ft spacing between columns and cranes spaced for hooks no closer than 20ft. Conductor bar mounted along all runways. Include columns with

required anchoring to support all runways. Contractor to verify all dimensions and quantity.

5 Ton Bridge System:
Condition: No bridge system exists
Install: Two 5 ton bridge cranes (preferred model MTS050663WH1 top running single girder bridge crane approximately 63ft span
Machined and hardened 6in end truck wheels, not cast, 450 - 550 BHN
Dual drive end trucks with bridge speed of 70 FPM
Two 1/2 HP bridge motors

Bridge brakes as required by OSHA Lockable disconnect on bridge as required by OSHA

Mainline disconnect operated from the pendant
Single fused transformer for all controls
5 Ton Cranes:
Condition: No 5 ton exists

Install: 5 ton (one per crane) ACI wire rope hoist with 20ft of lift Hoist speed of 24 FPM Trolley speed of 43 FPM Drop lugs and rail sweeps as required Bumpers as required Trolley brake as required

3 Ton Bridge system:
Condition: No bridge system exists
Install: Three 3 ton bridge cranes, preferred model MTS030563WH1 top running single girder bridge crane
Approximately 63 span

Machined and hardened 5in end truck wheels, not cast, 450 - 550 BHN Dual drive end trucks with bridge speed of 70 FPM Two 1/2 HP bridge motors Bridge brakes as required by OSHA Lockable disconnect on bridge as required by OSHA Mainline disconnect operated from the pendant Single fused transformer for all controls

3 Ton Cranes:
Condition: No 3 ton cranes exist
Install: 3 ton cranes(one per bridge crane) ACI wire rope hoist with 20ft of lift

Hoist speed of 24 FPM Trolley speed of 43 FPM Drop lugs and rail sweeps as required Bumpers as required Trolley brake as required

Additional requirements:
Pendant operated horn

Strobe light activated on motion

Dual power collectors
Variable speed control on bridge

Variable speed control on trolleys Variable speed hoist Independent festoon for pendant Paint and primer columns and runways

Minimum Services capability required to meet this statement of work are:

Licensed State Contractor, and insured for the manufacture and installation of cranes. Previous bridge crane system installs on Air Force Bases within the state of Florida Bridge crane equipment supplier Product Development/Prototyping Custom Design (required/provided) On-site Fabrication (required/provided) Safety Integration System Integration On-Site Installation and Support (required/provided) Minimum 3 year warranty included All shipping costs and equipment rentals included in price Furnish certified test weights and test in accordance with OSHA requirements

Design Submittal shall include:

Finalized cost estimate, complete specifications, accurate, explicit information necessary to accomplish the work. The extent, size, shape, and types of materials, the relationships between materials, and especially the relationship between new and existing work.

A high quality CD containing the final form of specifications in Microsoft Word for Windows latest version, Acrobat Reader pdf, AutoCAD drawings, etc.

Government Review:

Vendors are encouraged to freely meet, consult, and discuss ideas or problems with government representatives of the using agency for the project. Coordination should be consulted through the 325 CONS/PKB.

All submittals will be reviewed by the government representative for conformance and for the suitability of the design for its intended purpose with project requirements. The government reserves the right to cite errors. All submittals shall be delivered to the Contracting Officer, notwithstanding any of the provisions of this SOW, the Contracting Officer shall coordinate with end item user AFCEC/CEMIRT.
