RFP Reference (Sect/Para/Page) QUESTION GOVERNMENT RESPONSE

3/15/2018 1 Was the site visit mandatory in order to bid this?

Thanks for any information.

The site visit is not mandatory in order to submit a bid.

However, it can provide a great way to view site conditions prior to bidding as all bidders will be held to the same standard of work as listed in the solicitation whether they come to the site visit or not.

3/26/2018 2

Has there been a geo technical report for the existing parking lot and new parking lot to be built done? If so can I get a copy to see what the existing conditions are like so I can bid this project appropriately.

please see the newly attached geotechnical report and addendum

3/26/2018 3 Also, I know the funds are not presently available but is there an estimated time frame when the project could start. Information needed to be able to hold prices of asphalt and oil from the suppliers

It is unknown when exactly the funding will be received.

However, per block 13 D of the solicitation offers only need to provide a minimum of 60 calendar days for Government acceptance.

3/26/2018 4 Is there a geotechnical report for the project? yes see RFI #2

3/26/2018 5 Can we use the asphalt removed from existing parking lot as fill on new parking lot?

No

3/26/2018 6 Can you please provide the plan quantity sheet for the above referenced solicitation? The provided drawings on FBO did not include this.

A quantities sheet is not available for this project

3/26/2018 7 Have you issued any addenda for this project? Can I ask a copy?

All addenda issued for the project are uploaded to the FBO solicitation at www.fbo.gov Any updates will be posted there.

3/26/2018 8 Can I get a copy of the Plan Holders List, if available? All plans have been posted to FBO

Pre-Bid RFI Log for W912L6-18-B-6002 Parking Lot Project

3/27/2018 9 I see Geotech is Addenda 01, Civil and Electrical Sheets Addenda 03. What is considered Addenda 02? See the now attached addendum #2

4/2/2018 10

Three addendums have been posted to FBO and the dates and ordering of the addendums has caused some confusion among our subcontractors. Can you please confirm that addednum #3 are the correct plans to bid off of?

Addendum #3 dated 21 March 2018 is the most current addendum. All sheets from the original set and addendums still apply if they have not been covered by a subsequent addendum and the order for addendums is Addendum 1, Addendum 2, and Addendum 3 despite when they may have been posted to FBO.gov

4/2/2018 11

Sheet CD-102 and the Geotechnical report direct us to remove the existing ashpalt at the existing parking lot and to proof roll the existing agg base. Agg base that is deemed unsuitable is to be removed with an additional excavation of 8" below the agg base and new select fill material is to be placed. The geo report shows that in some locations the existing agg base is 19" deep. As we do not know the condition of the agg base under the existing asphalt this item would be impossible to quantify for our bid. Can unit pricing by the cubic yard be added for the removal of unsuitable material and the placement of new select fill?

An option has been added via amendment to the solicitation posted on FBO. The pricing will be factored as 1 each.
