About this file

The document is a Purchase Order Request for Proposals (PORFP) for a Hardware Master Contract solicitation issued by the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services - Information Technology and Communications Division. The PORFP seeks proposals to provide and install IBM storage equipment and related services at two Department facilities located in Pikesville and Hagerstown, Maryland. The required equipment and quantities include FlashSystem 5035 and 5000 HD LFF Expansion Enclosure units, various IBM storage components, and related cabling. Installation and configuration services are also required. The PORFP has a proposal due date of May 18, 2022 and requires delivery and installation by September 1, 2022 or earlier. The PORFP is designated as a Small Business Reserve with a 10% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) goal for the installation and training services.

The PORFP is structured as a fixed-price contract and will be awarded to the lowest priced proposal that meets the technical requirements. Pricing will be evaluated based on the cost of the hardware, installation, and extended warranty. This PORFP is open only to the current DOIT Hardware 2012 Master Contractors authorized to provide IBM equipment and services. Funding for this project will come from the Department's operating budget.
