About this file
This is a Contract Amendment (#2) for the Transitional Housing Program issued by the Arizona Department of Child Safety (ADCS), located in Phoenix, Arizona, specifically from the Office of Procurement. The amendment is designed to replace and clarify language related to interpretation and translation requirements for the contract.
The amendment outlines detailed requirements for a housing program serving young adults in Extended Foster Care, focusing on providing supportive, income-based, and transitional housing environments. Key provisions include individualized supportive services, housing navigation, and specific eligibility criteria for program participation. A significant update involves language services, requiring the contractor to serve non-English speaking children by providing interpretation/translation services, with particular emphasis on Spanish, American Sign Language, Arabic, Farsi, and Swahili. The contractor must cover costs for the five most common languages and will be reimbursed by ADCS for additional language services upon invoice submission. The amendment becomes effective on April 19, 2023, with all other contract terms remaining unchanged.
