About this file
This is a lease agreement document related to a State of Maine Division of Purchases procurement for LTO4 and LTO2 magnetic data storage tapes. The solicitation requests bids for LTO4 tapes supplied with state standard labels and LTO2 non-labeled tapes, with bid submissions due March 1, 2011. The state reserves the right to award items individually or as a group, reject any or all bids, and adjust ordered quantities by up to 10 percent. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering best value, with evaluation criteria including quality, conformity with specifications, delivery dates, and ultimate cost. Bidders must submit separate unit prices for each item and provide definite delivery terms. The state is exempt from federal and Maine state sales and use taxes, and bidders should quote prices excluding these taxes.
Bidders must comply with Maine's standardized barcode label format and specifications for LTO4 tapes. Cash discounts of 20 days or more will be considered in determining the low bidder. All transportation and freight charges must be prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified. Bids must be submitted electronically through the state's secure system, with late submissions rejected. Contracts may not be assigned, sublet, or transferred without written consent from the Director of Purchases. In the event of contractor default, the state reserves the right to procure materials from alternative sources and charge excess costs to the contractor, except for strikes, fires, Acts of God, or causes beyond reasonable control.
