About this file
This document is a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Transforming Pediatrics for Early Childhood (TPEC) Program (HRSA-26-104). The program, administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration's Maternal and Child Health Bureau, increases statewide access to high-quality early childhood development services for young children and families through team-based care delivered in pediatric primary care settings. The initiative prioritizes services for Medicaid-eligible, CHIP-eligible, or uninsured children and families. Program implementation involves placing early childhood development experts in pediatric practices, building skills among pediatric primary care staff in early childhood services delivery, and expanding early childhood services provided through team-based care. The program's intended impact includes boosting family strengths, detecting developmental concerns early, preventing chronic disease, promoting healthy development, and supporting child flourishing.
The funding opportunity provides up to 10 awards with a maximum of $950,000 per year for a 5-year project period. Eligible applicants include any domestic public or private entity, with a limit of one award per state or jurisdiction, except for Tribal applicants. The NOFO was released on June 8, 2026, with an application deadline of July 10, 2026, and a project start date of September 30, 2026. Prospective applicants can access a pre-recorded informational webinar. Inquiries should be directed to the Maternal and Child Health Bureau – Division of Home Visiting and Early Childhood Systems at HomeVisiting@hrsa.gov.
