About this file
This document is a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the Town of Manchester, Connecticut, related to the POST TOP LED STREETLIGHT REPLACEMENTS project (Bid No. 23/24-104). The bond is a legal instrument that ensures the principal contractor will pay for all labor and materials used in the prosecution of the work, with the bond being issued simultaneously with a performance bond. The bond is executed pursuant to specific sections of the Connecticut General Statutes and is designed to protect the town and potential claimants by guaranteeing payment for work and materials.
The bond covers the financial obligations of the principal contractor for the streetlight replacement project, with the specific contract details and total bond amount to be filled in at the time of execution. It references Connecticut General Statutes Sections 49-41, 49-41a, 49-41b, 49-42, and 49-43, which govern the rights and liabilities of the parties involved. The bond will remain in full force and effect unless the principal fully pays for all labor and materials furnished by subcontractors for the project, providing a financial safeguard for the Town of Manchester and potential suppliers and subcontractors.
