About this file

This document is a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the Town of Manchester, Connecticut, related to the On-Call Culvert Cleaning and Inspection project (Bid No. 23/24-7). The bond is a legal instrument that ensures the principal (contractor) will pay for all labor and materials used in the prosecution of the work, and it is issued simultaneously with another bond guaranteeing the full and faithful performance of the contract. The bond is executed pursuant to specific sections of the Connecticut General Statutes and is designed to protect the town and potential claimants by providing financial assurance for the project.

The bond is structured to cover payment for labor and materials furnished to the principal or their subcontractors, with the total bond amount to be specified later. It references sections 49-41, 49-41a, 49-41b, 49-42, and 49-43 of the Connecticut General Statutes, which govern the rights and liabilities of such payment bonds. The document provides a standard legal framework for ensuring that all parties involved in the culvert cleaning and inspection project are financially protected, with provisions for the principal to pay for all labor and materials used in the work, and consequences if they fail to do so.
