About this file

This document is a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the Town of Manchester, Connecticut, specifically related to the Park Improvements - Charter Oak Park West project (Bid No. 23/24-96). The bond is a standard legal instrument that ensures the principal contractor will pay for all labor and materials used in the project's prosecution, as required by Connecticut General Statutes Sections 49-41 through 49-43. The bond is being issued simultaneously with a performance bond and provides financial protection for subcontractors and material suppliers.

The bond does not specify the exact contract value, as the monetary amount is left blank to be filled in later. It is designed to provide legal and financial assurance to the Town of Manchester that all workers and suppliers will be compensated for their contributions to the park improvement project. The bond is executed under Connecticut state law and is a standard requirement for public works projects to protect the interests of workers, suppliers, and the municipal government by ensuring payment for services and materials rendered.
