The contractor shall provide all necessary management, supervision, labor, personnel, transportation, materials, equipment, and supplies to pump out and properly dispose of human waste from vault toilets located at multiple recreation sites, trailheads, campgrounds, Wilderness entry points, and administrative sites across the Forest. Services are required at numerous locations in the East and West zones, including areas near Aurora, Virginia, Cook, Crane Lake, Echo Trail, Ely, Fernberg Trail, Isabella, Tofte, Grand Marais, and the Gunflint Trail. Most vault toilets are 1,000-gallon capacity, though some vary in size.

Contractor operations are permitted Monday through Sunday between 7 am and 7 pm, with coordination required with the local ranger district office for vault access. The contractor must designate a qualified representative with authority over daily contract operations and notify the Contracting Officer of any personnel changes. All work must comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as all applicable Federal and State safety requirements. No additional fees may be charged for work performed on Federal Holidays. A prework conference will be scheduled prior to contract commencement to discuss terms, requirements, and schedule.
