About this file
This is a Title VI compliance document related to the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport's Reconstruct Airport Perimeter Fence Phase 2 project in Florida. The document addresses civil rights requirements and non-discrimination provisions applicable to the project, which involves the replacement of vulnerable fencing and gates in the Air Operations Area (AOA) with 8-foot tall prefabricated, non-scalable fencing topped with razor wire and wildlife deterrent skirts. The project aims to enhance safety and security while matching the specifications of the previously completed Fencing Phase 1 project installed in 2025.
The Title VI document establishes non-discrimination requirements and civil rights compliance obligations for all contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors involved in the project. These provisions ensure that no person shall be excluded from participation in, denied benefits of, or subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance based on race, color, national origin, or other protected characteristics. The document outlines the contractor's responsibilities to comply with federal civil rights laws and regulations, maintain records of non-discriminatory practices, and provide assurances of compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related federal statutes throughout the execution of the airport perimeter fence reconstruction project.
