Drainage of air conditioning system, removal of fan coils on first floor and capping of existing piping for future removal. NOTE: this activity may be required to be performed after hours or on weekends not to interfere with the activities ongoing on ground floor since the piping for first floor runs above false ceiling of ground floor. This operation involves as well additional protections and precautions not to damage with water floods or dust the ambient of ground floor that include the NEX supermarket.
Perform similar activity in the Motor pool offices on ground floor. NOTE: these offices shall remain operational during all stages of project. This requires special coordination to avoid that these rooms remain without air conditioning. See the staging plan in the following.
Demolition of existing false ceiling on first floor in the corridor and partially in the rooms as indicated in the drawing M201.
Demolition of selected portions of walls between corridor and rooms for the passage of air conditioning ducts, piping and cables, and for the installation of the recuperator as per drawing M201.
- 4 -
Supply and installation of metal cable trays for the installation of the VRF piping.
NOTE: one cable tray is an infrastructure for the air conditioning of BCC, the area at the end of the first floor corridor that is out of scope presently. To avoid damaging the installations part of this SOW, this additional tray shall be installed from the motor pool terrace until the end of the corridor and shall be left empty for future use.
Supply and installation of VRF system as per drawing M201 and M202, including equipment, piping and controls.

Art. 2.3
CONSTRUCTION STAGING
The project involves working in two distinct areas of MPR: the first floor and the Motor Pool offices that are on an adjacent little building on ground floor.
While the first floor offices will be emptied for the project and no activity shall be ongoing there, the Motor Pool area will remain operative for all time.
The construction shall proceed keeping in mind these two different zones.
While the activity related to first floor can proceed as speed as practical, it must noted that the existing fan coils in the upper floor are fed from below, and even the ground floor shall remain operation for all time of construction.
That constrain implies:
Keep noise to the minimum not to disturb the activity ongoing nearby. Demolitions should preferably be done before or after work hours, or on weekends.
Access the NEX area to work on piping shall be done out of the working hours and in agreement with the NEX manager who shall grant the access.
Motor pool offices shall be treated as a separate area. To this regard, the piping for the VRF can be installed and connect with a schedule that does not impact the activity, preferably working on Saturdays and Sundays. This area can be done when the entire project is almost at the end. Existing fan coils can remain operative until after the construction and start up of the new air conditioning and then removed.
Access to the Motor Pool terrace roof is always granted via the permanent ladder installed on the building
Art. 2.4
MATERIAL EQUIVALENTS
The contractor shall verify and ensure that all the materials supplied are new and without defects and that their use and/or installation is carried out using the best techniques and fully respecting the instructions supplied by the manufacturers.
